Damage assessors: "Yep, it's pretty much fucked!"

This really puts the size of the debris and the cleanup into perspective with the clear footage. Wow, what a tragic thing it is.
  • Use of the aqua drone makes a lot of sense. Why risk divers in such a cold & dark marine environment. Good tech for investigations.

That bridge had no concrete barriers surrounding the base of the bridge.

A very somber scene. FBI, Army Engineers, Police, working in the rain, above a watery grave site.

How was there no fenders around the piers of this bridge in one of the busiest shipping ports of the US? Would seem mandatory.
  • I think this was probably just an accident but it shows how easily our country could be sabotaged and crippled.

Thank you for sharing this upclose footage. I saw footage earlier that was taken from a helicopter and their efforts looked so dangerous and I was nervous for them. Im comfortted to know these men are professionals who are trained well for this type of operation. 🙏🙏🙏

The bridge was very poorly designed vis-a-vis ship collisions. Baltimore County is going to have to pay a lot of money in the resulting court cases over the next few years.

Why are the American taxpayers on the hook for the reconstruction?
