it’s the exact same way with the new Prius I think except on Prius it’s stock. So you hear the nice lock chime and the horrible one tone meep lock horn while locking and unlocking. Thankfully you can turn the lock horn and/or the lock chime off and I’d gladly turn the lock horn off!

KARR alarm system, my old 2017 RAV4 had that and it did the same exact thing. The KARR is just a California thing

Imo they make no sense in a modern car I tried a door with a Tacoma over a year ago it was super loud the horn blared 2x.
