Like any sell job, it's not what they say that matters, it's what they don't, such as snow on the ground for four months of the year, temperatures in the -35C/-31F range (it was -38.5C on December 31, 2013) and mosquitoes in summer. However, it does have many clear blue skies and warm summers, plus housing costs are still lower than many other Canadian cities.
