Thomas Muller is one of the most unique player that this generation has seen because he doesn't have world class pace, world class skills, or even world class dribbling but he still managed to become one of the most accomplished footballers. He has managed to win the bundesliga, dfb pokal, champions league, and the world cup but he the latter two only came after couple heartbreaks early on in his career. Muller was luckily able to overcome his losses to 2010 Spain and 2010 Inter Milan to bounce back and redeem himself just couple years later.

Muller's skills are amazing . His first touch and passing is great . You can't just become an elite player with just football iq
  • @elKerni
Müller does not beat you with skill Müller does not beat you with speed Müller does not beat you with strength Müller just beats you If said so: Kudos to Uli Hesse

Muller is one of if not the most underrated footballers in football history

Thomas Muller is a true legend of the game, and he is a testament too the fact that the strongest asset a footballer player can have is there IQ. Bayern do have some true all time greats Muller, Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Lewandowski, Muller, Beckenbauer. Muller with Kane will be a deadly duo, with Sane and Gnabry on the wings

Muller really is the embodiment of the Germany spirit. He doesn’t play beautiful football, he plays effective and efficient football
  • @metwalymagdy264
I'm 32 and feel like Muller has been a footballer since I opened my eyes. To my surprise, he's still 33 😮 what a legend

It’s not just footballing intelligence. He may not seem so elegant but he has most of the qualities to excel. Technique, vision, build up play/inter play, good first touch, amazing in the final third and of course finding and manipulating space. This is what German football has always been about and he breathes it.

I'll never forget that basketball screen he did to Jordi Alba.
  • @AnOddDay
Someone once said "Knowledge is strength." They were right.
  • @lisaruhm6681
I'd say that his technical abilities are often underrated/looked, because he is good technical, but not in the 1% and shows his skills not with long dribblings, but mostly with efficient and short ball handling.
  • Under rated, under appreciated, under valued. This man should be considered a genius too.
  • @Mangokyaw
Imagine if zidane, muller, berbatov, and busquet, pirlo and xavi play together for a team..the game would seem so slow but no opponent team would keep up with them lol😂
  • While Müller's first season with the pros was quite unimpressive, he had 15 goals and 5 assists in Bayern's reserve team in the German 3rd League. Fun Fact: His first goal at senior Level was for Bayern's reserve team in the 3rd League against Union Berlin in 2008. Now Union Berlin is a Bundesliga Team and will play in the Champions League this season

You are right, that he doesn't have world class finishing or world class technique, but one thing he does have, besides his IQ and his positioning, is world class passing and vision. He just sees the pitch and the space on it different from any other player. That is why he could be world class way into his 30s because speed and physical strength have never been crucial to his playstyle.
  • @Luger0312
Pep Guardiola ones stated that, when he came to Bayern, he at first didn't know how to use Müller, but that it was absolutely on him not seeing Müllers genius.
  • @TheScar3cro
Müller has to be one of the most accomplished players of all time. He won the World cup, won 2 trebles and currently has a streak of 10 straight domestic championships. He's injured so rarely, that he could even break the records for most appearances both in the national team and for Bayern. Most impressive about this, is that the current record holder for Bayern is Sepp Maier (a goalkeeper). The only big title, that he's missing is a European Championship (something that even Messi couldn't win)....
  • @MrJabbothehut
He's the definition of German efficiency. he's not flashy but his fundamental footballing skills are incredible.
  • @ZenitHalter17
Thomas Müller has some strange moves at times, but if you look closely his technique ist actually VERY good! A pass can look strange because he makes it after the first touch, but other footballers wouldn‘t make the pass on the first touch in that situation. He is able to make moves that almost no one can do, it‘s genius. And it‘s crazy that somehow the football world didn‘t appreciate enough in the last 10 years. People laughed at him despite his incredible stats. And he has some leadership an mentality that can‘t be mesuared through statistics. That‘s my opinion on him as a footballer, and I‘m watching that guy for 11 years now.
