I love how this genuinely represents people who might actually love someone, but are just terrified of saying it out loud. The girl shows through her actions how much she loves him, and he cares enough to understand.

This is my favorite Gabrielle Aplin song. I used to hate the lyrics of chorus. But I learned that if your heart has been broken before. It’s not easy to fall in love again with someone else. This is a song about taking your relationship slow. No one should ever easily say he or she loves someone. It is a strong word and it might hurt someone deep in the end when the relationship goes wrong. My heart has been broken before but I hope someday I can “say it back”

I was brokenhearted back then when i first listened to this song. And now, out of nowhere, i searched it again just to listen how sad the song was. However, my heart is happy now.

If someone is in love with you and you don't feel the same way for him, please don't give hope. It's just not right. Better things end now rather than 4 years from now.
