  • I was internationally adopted from Korea as a baby. My parent definitely were amazing at trying to keep me in touch with my heritage with books and movies documentaries and got me a hanbok, both as a child and adult. However, one area I have struggled is actually learning and understanding language and would love to teach my daughter since she is half Korean. Thank you for sharing and hope you’ll do more relaxing ASMR videos like this. It’s soothing and interesting. Thanks again!

Its one thing to speak multiple languages but to teach your native tongue in your other language is very impressive 🥰 thank you for a relaxing video

Honestly, this is amazing. You said you were no good as a teacher, but just proved otherwise. I can't believe it made so much sense to someone who doesn't know any Korean. Please continue teaching us!
  • Always had the urge to learn the korean alphabet., so thank you for making it as an asmr video. Though sleeping halfway because of your lovely relaxing voice will defeat my intended purpose. As always, thank you for giving us interesting and artistic videos 💛💛💛

15:30 I love ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ cause in Brazil we use kkkkk to represent laugh sound. The more letters the more intense the laughter is.

i am hopeless at languages but hangul is such an amazing alphabet; it’s easy to learn and very legible. if we ever as a species manage to produce a universal language, i think it’s the best option for the written word

  • @destana1xx
I can already read hangeul but watching this is like a review, and it’s asmr so it’s a bonus. I also just like when Soy writes or draws on the board. Edit: I know it’s a lot of work but I hope this becomes a series of learning Korean. I really enjoy this.

im learning korean, i have adhd and struggle to listen to long videos but asmr really calms my brain, this combination is so perfect for me 고마워요

The way you explained that the position of the vowels from horizontal and vertical is a really great tip for beginners to figure out how to write in Korean. I only casually try to learn Korean. Back then, I had a really hard time to write the proper placements of the letters, I only learned it through looking at Korean words for a year. And I have never encountered other youtubers use that as a tip.

My mother in law is korean, I just started learning hangul so I can speak to her in her native language. Perfect timing thanks soy!!!
  • @SongWooyoon
  • @kiwij1702
Such an amazing teacher, in only one hour, I feel like I’ve learned a bit of Korean, you did so well
  • @sudo7873
