Hitman: Agent 47 is the new movie adaptation of the stealth-and-cover video game...and you all know how much I love movies based on video games! Here we're dissecting some of the movie details, specifically the ultra futuristic armor that John Smith sports to try to take down Agent 47. We'll be looking at the latest in high-tech armor and figuring out whether it's actually possible to create bullet-proof skin.

When we came up with the idea for this Film Theory, Fox said they'd like to sponsor us! A big thanks to them for their support in making this video happen and letting us take a sneak peek at the film to make sure we got our facts straight!

Just imagine having the graphene armor only to rub your socks on the carpet a little to much and get a static shock.

I accidentally hit rewind at a perfect time to hear “Erection Stone” instead of resurrection stone
  • Matpat: Diamond armor under your skin. Steve: Interesting... Edit 2: I will endure a thousand deaths before I yeild.
  • @theSUICIDEfox
Even if his skin is bulletproof, it's gonna hurt like fuck getting shot. I mean, your skin can deflect a paintball but it still fucking hurts.
  • MatPat: Diamond armour under the skin! Steve: Might consider that...

Before you guys start taking out your 50 cal sniper rifles and shooting each other in the face because you have subdermal graphine armor, you also have to realize that shit's going to block the bullets, but not the force. So yeah, you might not get penetrated by a hot metal object, but you're getting decked in the face at a max of 60,000 psi, and while even graphene could stop a huge amount of that pressure, it's still going to feel like you're getting hit by a two inch truck.

You got it all wrong matpat You see he used flex tape to stop all the force so he dont die
  • @crowcorvid4667
What about the kinetic energy though, a bullet could hit the skin armor and be similar to hitting a bone due to it being inside your body meaning whatever stretch or shake from the armor would be smeared directly against your insides and probably cause internal damage even if the armor wasn’t exactly broke, like using a mace on steel knight armor
  • 2015 matpat is like that one teacher that puts memes in the powerpoints and I love it
  • "Why would you need graphene armor?" Well mat, i go to school in america and also I am unreasonably paranoid and graphene caught my attention doing research for what I could make into wearable armor
  • @bumpkin5969
His using Diamond armor Minecraft Intensifies
  • You know, graphene would actually be a good thing to wear during a thunderstorm, it would act like a faraday cage for the person wearing it. Same reason you should stay in your car during a thunderstorm.
