The idea that Jeb is the only one who truly knows the Minecraft lore and refuses to tell anyone else in the studio is really funny to me

People hate on 1.19 but the deep dark is an excellent feature. The Warden was instantly iconic.
  • the stalker is terrifying! I think it would be super interesting if they had some sort of cave structure like trial chambers but it's just a gross wet cave with tons of stalkers in them. This way the player could turn around and leave, or they could stay and try to acquire loot without touching them. If you do touch one, all that are in the vicinity would be able to track and attack. That one block tall feature is absolutely nightmare fuel

Wait so the heartbeat is actually a heartbeat from one of the creators with a contact microphone??!!!! That really adds to the scary. I like that you guys go fully realistic with the sounds. That's genius!

I honestly think that The Stalker was a pretty horrifying concept. The fact that it has its own animation for when it crawls in a 1 block gap scared me kinda when thinking of it.

You have no idea how badly I want that Warden plushie.
  • Personally, the Warden will always be my favorite hostile mob in Minecraft. Salutations and congrats to Mojang Studios for working so hard to bring this mob to the Minecraft game. To this day, I never stop experimenting with Sculk and visiting the Deep Dark, everytime I create a new world, and always wish I could give the Warden a big hug.
  • They truly ate with the development of the Warden and Ancient Cities. One of the most fleshed out and polished experiences added to Minecraft in recent history.

I remember Minecraft once shared a picture of the warden, where he looks like he just wants to hug.

1:49 Turns out Minecraft had already planned out the Cave Dweller before us They were always one step ahead

Steve: "Where's the beast?" Villager: "It's right there!" Steve: "...That's a cow..."
  • If I had a nickel for every time Minecraft turned a farm animal into a deadly monster I’d have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice, right?
  • "I feel like he is kinda misunderstood." Agnes being the sweetheart aunt as always. Just wanna hug her and make all my problems go away.

I love finding out about the development process of features, it's fascinating!

Love the warden's current design (because come on he's such a markatble lil guy i just wanna squeeze em!) but the hollowed with the older sounds is just amazing, like, leagues creepier than the warden ever was, but, im glad we have our little blind lad
