*Antman's attack was all based on Thanos's earlier remark to Thor: " ...should've gone for the butthole."

The explanation the director gave for this not happening was that he would get squished since thanos is much more durable than Scott. But even still, Scott has those little pym particle throwing Star type things. He could just take a chunk of vibranium and shrink it down then expand it in thanos head and then boom, that does the trick too.

People may say that Ant-Man would've die, but an alternative option is to do what Hank did to Hulk on that What If episode (use the Pym Particles to make the organs growth)
