People be saying “wow if Beyoncé gets cheated on, then what hope do we have?” But that’s bull crap. The answer isn’t that Beyoncé wasn’t woman enough, it was that Jay-Z wasn’t man enough. The problem wasn’t with her, it was with him. The problem isn’t with you, it’s with your significant other. There is never an excuse to cheat.

The way she channeled her grief and pain into incredible art

I love how she just proudly acts crazy. Women are gaslighted so much when we finally react to abuse. This stuff is so freeing to anyone who’s been through betrayal

Beyoncé: "tried to be prettier..." Me: See this what we not finna do
  • I came back to watch this years later, and I can’t believe that I didn’t realize back then that Lemonade is like an art show/movie. This “segment” of lemonade is showing how being cheated on can drive you crazy. Beyonce is smiling while she destroys everything in her path. She’s truly lost her mind lol. The opening monologue is her expressing her desperation of not be cheated on. Her words were so dramatic, because that’s exactly how it feels when you’re in love with someone, and then you find out that your partner has been unfaithful or lied to you. It’s said that being in love is a chemical imbalance after all. I feel like I need to watch lemonade again. I wonder what else I missed.
  • 6 years later and i’m still not over how beautiful she looks in the yellow dress 😭😩 Literal goddess!

Beyoncé’s words sent chills up my spine. I been in quite a few shitty relationships and wonder if it was wrong to break up with my exes… then I put on Lemonade and immediately reassure myself that it wasn’t wrong
  • I love how she realises her worth and knows that it’s not her fault that he cheated, she was there, she did everything, still he did it

I tried to change, closed my mouth more tried to be softer, prettier, less awake. Fasted for 60 days, wore white abstained from mirrors, abstained from sex. Slowly did not speak another word In that time my hair grew past my ankles I slept on a mat on the floor I swallowed a sword I levitated Into the basement confessed my sins and was baptized in a river. Got on my knees and said Amen And said I mean I whipped my own back and asked for dominion at your feet I threw myself into a volcano I drank the blood and drank the wine I sat alone and begged and bent at the waist for God I crossed myself and thought I saw the Devil. I grew thickened skin on my feet, I bathed in bleach, and plugged my menses with pages from the holy book. But still inside me coiled deep was the need to know "Are you cheating on me?" Like this so others can see

No one truly realizes how freeing it's to let the crazy out and just break things when you're heartbroken. Takes you to a whole other level. This video shows that in it's purest form. Every woman has an inner Harley Quinn and on this day Beyonce met and let hers shine ❤❤

LEMONADE is easily my all-time favorite album ever. Across all genres and through all the years. This woman created a MASTERPIECE through her pain.

I love the part where she goes "are you cheating on me?" Cause up to that point she was being all poetic and then she just gives it to us straight. Are you cheating on me?

LOVE the underwater shots. I don't think people really appreciate how hard it is to look natural. Most people puff their cheeks up, swuint their eyes, or get water up their nose and freak out. As an underwater performer I gotta say she slays thi
  • During the production of this music video, I was the operator of the Air Horn!!! Four years at music college for this!!! Beyonce personally thanked me after the final cut!!! Very proud of myself.
  • Can't believe this was 3 years ago... Feels like a year ago it was released...
  • @EbonyWhitee
She said girls would lie and hide from Jay if he didn’t have the money and fame. She basically called his ass ugly, which he truly is, in every sense of the word. I love that she put this on wax. That’s how you put somebody on blast.
