omg THANK YOU for acknowledging that elastic pants are just not flattering. I refuse to wear them because my body type just can't handle it, including the elastic waistband in the small of the back.

One irritation with light coloured linen pants is that the pocket linings always show through - no matter how close my panties are to my skin colour. That triple layer of fabric just looks awful. My solution: I sewed the pockets closed and cut off the lining on the edge of that stitching. seldom use the pockets anyway.

Even though you feel we shouldn't wear closed-toe shoes with linen pants, I like and wear low-profile white sneakers with mine and I think they look great.😊

You are so pretty Chi, and so funny1 When you stick out your tummy on purpose we all know you are exaggerating but we all feet that way sometimes. When we have poor posture or slouch for a moment, or just ate, it seems that is when someone takes our picture!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for not trying to be that "perfect" influencer-type. Very sweet.

The elastic of my linen pants never shows, a tucked shirt has a little fabric out that covers it. A leather belt with linen pants in summer seems like an odd combo for the season.

Now I understand why i don’t look flattering with linen pants no matter how i want to have them as part of items in my capsule. I’m 5’2 short torso

The only problem with a belt is I usually wear linen pants when I need to feel cooler. A belt just adds to the heat at your waist, as if that bulky elastic waist doesn’t heat you up enough. I wish they made linen pants with a thin drawstring at the waist and no elastic. I have a very old pair of shorts made this way and they are extremely cool in the hottest weather.

Not all linen pants are loose. There are some pricey capris (which if short =regular length if your really short😂) and tailored linen trousers.

Maybe draw string instead of unflattering elastic waist. Closed flap pockets on butt would be great to add volume.

I tried linen pants several times, it is very hard to make it work. I just don't like the shameless feel. With the tips Chi shared, it will help a lot. But I found linen skirts or shorts are so much easier to style

Excellent info on linen pants. I hope to get some this summer and you have given me lots of great tips. I think the only thing wrong with the jeans you show in the last minute of this video is that your shirt is too big and needs to be tucked in or exchanged for a more fitted top. It’s not that the jeans themselves are ‘unflattering’ at all.
