It's kind of crazy how Retro went from the position of living up to the legendary Super Metroid to the position of living up to their own game that became equally legendary.

Dread was my first Metroid game and I grew to love MPR. I can't wait for Prime 4 to be released but I really hope Prime 2 and 3 are remastered before that, I want to play Prime 2 in particular since I like its light and dark theme, plus the entire story feels like you're in an absolute warzone the entire time. I mean, you're surrounded by Ing, Space Pirates, Dark Samus and Phazon, danger on all sides.

I never believed that tiny explosion could break Samus' suit either. I feel like the game should start Samus with the basic suit and power beam from the beginning and just say the reason she doesn't have her previous upgrades is because her suit's power supply isn't strong enough to run them all indefinitely so she uninstalls them between missions. That'd be my explanation anyway.

You mention that Tallon overworld’s theme is a remix of Brinstar, but Magmoor cavern’s is that of lower Norfair from super Metroid. Easy to forget because you spend so relatively little time there. Also upper norfair was a simplified,stripped down version of the same theme if I recall. I thought Prime did the same thing for the “cooler” areas of Magmoor.

I will be rotating honest Metroid prime wasn’t mine it took what I liked about 2D metroid and replaced fast paced platforming and combat with slow paced platforming and combat
