Add a Pan and Zoom to Still Images with Adobe Premiere Rush

Published 2022-02-27
in this video, we'll do a quick Adobe Premiere Rush demo showing you how to add movement to images. This Pan Zoom feature is often called the Ken Burns Motion Tool, named after the documentary maker who made this effect mainstream.

When you first add this effect in Rush, it adds a very quick and intense zoom and pan to the image which isn't too pleasing to the eye.

We hope that helps and please add any questions to the comment section below.

Thanks that's helpful. FYI Ken Burns is an American documentary filmmaker, born well after WWII.
  • How can you adjust the pan and zoom that will capture the whole portrait image when your screen size set to 16:9 for youtube video. I have a lot of portraits that when i set a 16:9 it doesn’t capture the full size of my portraits images. please help me. Appreciated so much❤

Hi there! Nice insight on this episode! Is there a way to clip a frame of a video and export it, like you can do in Adobe Premiere Pro?
