This OVA makes me cry every time. I lost my best friend to suicide during COVID and he's the one that introduced me to Naruto. I watched this OVA a very long time ago with him and I remember discussing the symbolism in it. He only said it involved appreciating the family closest to you and that he was proud to have me as his best friend as I was there for him when he lost his home and dog. I always come back once in a while to watch the OVA again as it randomly pops up in my head time and again. It will forever be etched in my memory for life. Rip Nate

I love that itachi is trying to make sasuke the PERFECT sunny side up eggs. Really shows how much itachi loves sasuke.

I love how he doesn’t even change his approach, it’s literally perfect and yet the results are always imperfect. His setup is clean and yet just like with sasuke he can’t seem to control the outcome

People had to animate Itachi cooking an egg. People had to animate the eggs awakening the Mangekyo Sharingan. People had to animate a giant Itachi cooking Sasuke and Naruto.

Great symbolism. The eggs, represent Itachis Actions to help Sasuke. He tries to make it perfect, has anything thought out but still fails. The last one, the perfect one, is representing Sasukes & narutos Friendship, hence the Clan symbols in the egg & itachis „perfect“ or best Decision. Trusting in Naruto. The comment from Sasuke that he had better ones also shows that Itachi couldn’t shape a perfect live for Sasuke. Great Episoden

This is so erie. That fact he says "there is only us" and "this is all I can do for you" tugged at my heart strings. A balance of comedy and unsettling.
