  • "But none could truly have foreseen the day of the great war." Mr. House: "Hold my platinum chip."
  • The Lord said “I am the same yesterday, today, and forever.“ Translation: “God. God never changes.“

The hubologist's legal team will be coming for you, for not acknowledging them as an official religion.
  • @t2force212
I'm so glad you included the BoS as a religion in this video. Most people tend to dismiss it as one due to them not having an obvious deity. Techno-cults like them are interesting to me
  • There’s the idea that Brights followers didn’t go to space but instead went to the Glow, an area mentioned in the early fallouts which would make more sense as to how they got back
  • @saber4405
Fallout 1: the cathedral Fallout new vegas: Caesar's Legion Fallout 3&4: the children of Atom Fallout 76: L A M P
  • Please never stop making these videos. You’re fantastic and they’re some of the few things I look forward to. ESPECIALLY because you don’t just read off a Wiki page...

I think the church in Diamond City can be considered an evolution of the Unitarian Universalist church that has been historically, very powerful in Boston, although limited mostly to wealthy urban and suburban areas and among academics in areas outside of Massachusetts and Vermont. The church didn't care exactly what you believe, which is mostly in line with Unitarian theology, although the latter tends to have a lot of atheists and humanists as well.

6:59 there's also the guy in Nuka World, he's a glowing one as well.

Y'all forgot Courieriaism. The worship of the Courier. The True lord and savior and decimator of the Mojave. It is worshipped by those who obsess him. Not one conversation goes without talking about them. glares at Ulysses

I would still love to see a Catholic Fallout faction, imagine their leader being a Bishop or Cardinal with all the pseudo Knight speak, ecclesiastical Latin, religious orders, a faction that actually provides alms for the poor, and maybe some violent radicalism like crusaders or conquistadors.
  • Honestly thought the jackals and vipers were just 2 bandit gangs, never took 'em for tribals, or even remnants of tribes.

I find it hard to believe that the children of atom started in Megaton, since in just 10 years, the religion goes from a handful of people in the capitol wasteland, to numerous groups through out the commonwealth, and the large group in Farharbor. It seems more likely that the cultists in Megaton are missionaries, or pilgrims, who travelled to megaton after hearing of the bomb through rumors and travelers. As for where the children actually come from, the stronger presence in the Commonwealth and Farharbor, suggests they originate some where in the north east. A fitting place of origin could be the city of Providence in Rhode Island, given the religious undertone of the name, as well as it having been the home of H.P. Love Craft, who seems to be a partial inspiration for some of the ideas behind the children.

Watching the video now but wonder if it will be mentioned. The Fallout series is inspired in part by the book A Canticle for Leibowitz. It deals with this exact premise, where post apocalyptic catholic-like monks in an age of decay and darkness find the sacred documents; blueprints for the holy Fallout Shelter. Can't recommend the novel enough to folks that aren't aware of it
  • Discuss the topics Fallout not very many people do and give constructive and likely theories. About would happen. I'm so happy I found this channel
  • @beairmann
There is actually two non feral glowing ones in the fallout universe, the magician guy from nukaworld is as well
  • @augustwall5205
There are also actual Christians here and there, such as Marcella from Point Lookout, the father of the Lone Wanderer, and possibly the Lone Wanderer himself, depending on player choices
  • @simbachvazo6530
The Mother in the Fog is a Child of Atom, I don't remember if it was expressly stated but it can be implied by all the stealth boys.
  • @mikeemous1410
Oswald from nula world is the only other sane glowing one in fallout besides Jason bright
