Audrey
(This Is Your Time)

Words & Music By Michael Noland

Yeah, they took everything you had, as they bled you dry.
Providing not a bit of comfort, yeah, you could see it in their eyes!
And while you were away, they claimed that you...
Wanted them to have everything, for all that they had done for you!

And so they sat and watched you, die a bit more every day
Blaming you for all of their problems, hoping you'd just fade away...
And when it seemed that their dreams would, finally come true...
They bagged up all that wasn't nailed down, they didn't think that they could loose...

Audrey, This Is Your Time...
Audrey, This Is Your Time...

Audrey, This Is Your Time...
Audrey, This Is Your Time..

Consider all that you've suffered, every time that they lied...
It's time to heed the soft whisper,
It's time to do or to die!
It's time to set into motion...
iIt's time that's long over due...
It's time to set your foot upon the road that's been waiting for you!

  • Really nice work Michael. Giving the backstory of the writing is a nice touch. I hope all are well in your family these days. All the best :)

Sorry, I didn't know there were a few more of your comments by you until I exposed all the comments. It seems the default is to show the latest? Whilst the older ones get buried?? It's great to hear you singing! A long time ago, your voice choice went from singing, to scratchy rock, gravelly pirate, voice. It was alright, but I knew you could "sing". Please...Don't be afraid to mix your voice to the front! I know. I also like the music to surround and give me bushes to hide behind. John was like that. But, the more kutzpah we deliver, the less the music needs to envelop our voice. Your voice is as good as it was when we were young! try same mix, but with music cranked back a tad, and your vocals same, same??
