I @exzisd everywhere online! Here's my highschool instrumental post rock band named, a Green Space Project, recorded in 2007 uploaded (with a contour line sketch of a beach house) I did in 2009. The group originally formed as a bunch of my friends who were forced to go to church together. My church friend Emmanuel had to make a song for a school project so we recorded this. I named the band after a patch of grass in the concrete jungle of Albany Park on the north side of Chicago. A place where college kids would hang out skateboard, drink stuff, smoke hookahs and stuff, throw frisbees, make out, and do college stuff. It wasn't until I went to University there that I found out about all that stuff out but since I had visited my brothers during their time at North Park University I created a idea utopia of what it was in my mind. For me growing up in a very sheltered Christian household it was like the promised land and if I could just finish high school that I too could ride longboards and make-out with hot babes in the grass. The song title I named trying to encapsulate the feeling of falling asleep after the best day ever feeling so happy that you don't ever care if you wake up. I think it has a good vibe to it. I recorded the fingerpicking guitar on my Mexican made Wine Red Fender Telecaster I got as a graduation gift. Other instrumentation was done by my church friends and the audio was recorded with 2 mics and a decent mixing board in a garage. We were so pumped about it. We drove around the neighborhood in my friends car with a good sound system and rocked out to it a few times on repeat. Sadly few recordings remain from this band though there are some burned CDs and alternate versions of this song uploaded on YouTube. Shortly after the band formed a few of us including myself went to college so looking back on this now it has a lot of nostalgic value for myself and I think it's still pretty crispy. Some of our inspirations were Explosions In The Sky and during our later unrecorded (to my knowledge) material darker post rock like Russian Circles.

Read description for full context and back story on this archival upload. This was all recorded in one take in a garage with no metronome and no editing. We rehearsed the song a few days before and kept trying and this was the one we settled with. Although there are imperfections in the recording along with my friend Emmanuel's laugh at the end it all came together and captured the idea of falling asleep after a perfect sunny day with some friends and that feeling of satisfaction from a fantastic day. Now looking back it is a bit of a time capsule of nostalgia for a pivotal time in my life before I we went to college and how things were simpler in many ways. The description includes more of the backstory, recording process, and more info. Joy Division Acoustic Cover 11 Years Later Here: https://youtu.be/ztPSc73XDyE

It's an entire vibe. That guitar sounds beautiful - both physically an musically! It would be dope to hear you play now. Do you have new stuff coming up?
