I’m YouTube’s American Presidents guy now, apparently, and breaking news 39 American Presidents have died. Now, some of them have been dead for awhile. In this video, we’re going to look at how every President in American history died.

I would argue that being President is the most dangerous job in the world. 18% of them have died while on the job. 9% of them were assassinated. In fact, there was a period of about 122 years in which EIGHT Presidents died WHILE IN OFFICE.

Now, you could say that Presidents tend to be older when they take office, and that is a fair point.

Which President's last words were your favorite? Mine were Nixon's and Tyler's. Also, what do you think of my new glasses? Don't forget, if you're in the market for glasses, get them through my link to help us both out. Try 5 pairs of glasses at home for free at warbyparker.com/mrbeat

the virgin “food is tasty” vs the chad “the nourishment is palatable.”

"Death had to take Roosevelt sleeping, for if he had been awake, there would have been a fight" is the most hardcore thing anybody has ever said about anyone.

FDR: "I have a terrific headache." JFK: "Me too buddy."
  • @davididiart5934
"God, take me." Damn. Eisenhower got to give the order himself. Talk about a Commander in Chief.

Glad old Abe was enjoying a hilarious show before his mind was blown

“I have tried so hard to do right” is honestly my favorite with how deep it is.

I've heard it said that while Grant was suffering from the cancer, he described the sensation he felt while drinking a cup of water as "pouring a vial of molten lava down my throat" or something along those lines. One of the reasons I adore Grant so much is that this is the time when he was writing his memoirs because he wanted to do anything he could to help provide for his wife after he was gone. The guy was suffering unbelievable agony, knew he was going to die soon, yet he spent 12+ hours a day writing, with no guarantee that it would actually amount to anything, just because he wanted to do anything he could to see to it that his wife had some support after he died. He would sadly die only 3 days after he finished writing and to say that his efforts paid off would be a huge understatement. Grant's memoirs is one the most successful books in American history. Grant is my personal favorite president in American history. He was a hell of a man and his is a legacy that all men should strive to live up to.
  • John Tyler’s exchange with his doctor is terrifying. Essentially “Okay I’m gonna die.” “Please don’t?” “Might as well.”

"If he was awake, there would be a fight" What a badass statement for Sir Roosevelt

Rosalynn Carter passed away today. Jimmy is 99 and still holding on.

And now Jimmy Carter is 99 and soon 1 year later he'll be a century old.
  • My grandmothers 13th birthday actually was on the day that JFK died. She said she was sitting in class, talking to all her friends as they wished her a happy birthday , and the overhead speaker turned on. They announced how the president had just been assassinated and she broke into tears. Even thinking about it every birthday makes her sad. She is currently 71

2:41 wow, Adams and Jefferson must’ve been so close friends, they even had the decency to die on the same day, 50 years after their country was founded
  • @Sandstripe1
Fun fact: Andrew Jackson had a pet African Gray parrot and its said at his funeral, the bird proceeded to swear as loud as possible in front of all the mourning tenants. He caused such a ruckus, he had to be carried out of the house in order for the service to continue.

John Adams: "Thomas Jefferson survives." Thomas Jefferson: "I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that."
