To me, Dakota Fanning will always be Coraline. She was such a perfect cast for the voice.

Kelly Preston (who plays the mother, Joan) sadly died last year from breast cancer at 57 after starring in films like Twins and Jerry Maguire. I sincerely hope people remember her and her talent from those films as opposed to this one. Rest in peace.

The Cat in the Hat is Gen Z humor, change my mind.

Fun fact the whole reason why this movie sucked so bad was because of the actor who played as cat in the hat Mike Myers. Due to how many outrageous things Mike Myers wanted including but not limited to someone to feed him chocolate on set. It got so bad that the original director quit and they got a new director and the script was rewritten. So if you want to know why this movie is such a nightmare and a dumpster fire thank Mike Myers at the time. Also the main reason why the kids look so tired and so done with this movie is because of. Mike as well because they reshoot that shot multiple times thanks to Mike.

So many adult jokes in this kid's movie, but still, remains as one of my FAVORITE moives from my childhood! I remember growing up in a really nice and clean mobile home park, watching so many movies by DVD. Scooby Doo (2002), Cat in the Hat (2003), Toy Story, Shrek, Spider Man (2002), Spaceballs, Jurassic Park, The Goonies, Willy Wonka, Wizard of Oz, and much more!
