Copenhagen Airport to City Centre (Don't Make This Mistake!)

Published 2023-06-03
How to get from CPH Airport to the city centre? It's easy! Getting from Copenhagen Airport to the city centre can take as little as 13 minutes! In this video, I'll show you exactly how to take the train and the metro and warn you about the taxis as they're costly πŸ’Έ

I'm Kris - a Danish travel blogger and tour guide. I used to run my own travel agency, and I'm a massive travel-planning geek πŸ€“

I live in Copenhagen, so CPH Airport is the main airport I always go to. It's one of the best airports in Europe, and it's such a breeze to get the metro straight from the arrival hall to the city centre in only 13 minutes!

  • IMPORTANT INFO regarding the train: in this video, I state that you can get any train from platform 2 if your destination is Copenhagen Central Station. That is no longer the case - there are now a couple of trains every hour that do NOT stop at the Central Station. Most trains do, but make sure you check the screens before boarding the train 🀝

Don't excuse the old central train station for being old. That's the charm and beauty of it!

The Central Station has a lot of charm. Cleaner and safer than in some Belgian Railways Stations. At the end I used my CPH card during my first visit in July 2023. And the metro has easier, arrived nearly closed to the hotel πŸ™‚

We visited Copenhagen for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and the journey to City Centre was seamless. From the airport to Norreport on the M1, and walked 2.5 blocks to our hotel. If only every city in the world was so easy to enjoy!

Copenhagen Central Station looks magnificent - a wonderful piece of heritage. We are going to Copenhagen tomorrow and this video was very helpful.

The City Pass is really convenient and so easy to take from the airport terminal. We would definitely say the metro but if you land at night be careful, they sometimes close the metro for a couple of hours (maintenance) and they especially don't communicate that in their app or website πŸ˜‰.

Thanks for the explanation of the metro. I followed the instructions and made it to my hotel without a problem. Even took the mandatory selfie😊. The best part of this video is that I am familiar with the metro station map on day one of vacation and feel comfortable going wherever I want now for the rest of my stay. Thanks!
