If we're fond our planet, then conventional wisdom would conclude that we ought to put a ring around it. Let's work on that!

We might not have the majesty of the rings but we have a tidally locked moon that just so happens to be about the same size in the sky as our star, meaning we have lunar cycles on an always familiar, brightly shining face that allows us to witness solar eclipses. There are so many planets out there that wouldn't have this amazing combination that we have, and we would be considered lucky to be able to appreciate such beauty.
