Nice work again Greg. Wow, you certainly did cut it fine with those street lights ..!!!! Well done.

Congratulation for the new Ha filter, i have a similar one for my eos 6D. Very nice photo with the moonrise, the light of the moon reflecting in the water and the Milky Way details.

Great video, Greg. That h-alpha certainly packs a punch. I need to use mine more consistently (although right now I canβt find it and fear itβs buried in a mudflat somewhere π). The final images are excellent. Thanks for taking us on the journey.

Hi from Finland :) Really like your videos more and more. A lot of channels doing videos from the home studio without the story of the real experiences capturing the raw material out in the field. It is interesting to see what the experience of being out in the field is compared to my own experiences here on the other side of the globe. Personally also trying to learn the consept of adding H-alpha to the images and experiencing similar challenges with different kind of negative impacts when using wider focal lengths with the exactly same H-alpha filter. In my case a naked astromodified camerabody seems to have an added impact in the equation :). Unfortunatelly our dark season here in Finland has already ended and no real dark nights until september, so my experiments continues later. But one suggestion would be experimenting with calibration frames and especially flats when tackling the problems collecting light with an H-alpha filter.

Like a Boss π Lovin the local content and knowledge share Greg π Such a polished production Really enjoyed seeing your workflow with the Ha filter Keep it up, it's a real joy to see the adventures of " The Lone Ranger and Tonto " lol π€£

Nice work Greg, I'm impressed how much Ha the Nikon is picking up (much more than my unmodified Sony). Hopefully you were able to get some test Ha shots at higher ISO levels as well. I'm finding that this is helping to bring out details in the nebulosity but I still haven't sound the sweet-spot for my setup.

Good result Greg with the Ha filter. Not sure what was going on in your first few images with the flood of red light all over the image. The results down on the beach came up well with the 35mm images. ππ

very nice images Greg....surprised at how effective the filter is on a non modded camera, those are meant to cut out the majority of Ha signal....weird, but great that it works for you π

Great adventure of you guys again! I think you managed really well with those halo's on the ha filter. You might want to give something like rcastro's gradient xterminator a shot in these situations. Appreciate the processing insight!

Wow, 15 min to bag your shots. Nothing like working to a deadline π. Amazing edit of Orion and the lighthouse too! I also us we Affinity Photo for my editing, grest value for money I think.

HI just wondering where you got the Ha filter from?
