I need to show this to my teacher. he thinks that EVERY single kid on earth is obsessed with video games and constantly gives us lectures on "how video games will make you stupid." who thinks I should play this to my teacher?

Yeah, I noticed it too but I am happy that evidence of games improving your brain exists. You can use it to dispute non-gamers' claims against video games. I find that to be quite satisfying. Games like Professor Layton and Ace Attorney actually improved my argument skills and puzzle solving skills. I still have 2 PL and 3 AA games to play so that's neat.
Shooting games increased my reaction time, RPG games taught me many life lessons and improved my vocabulary. Strategy games like Fire Emblem improves, well, strategy. Challenging games builds my courage, determination and will power. Pretty sure there's more. I just play them for fun but the benefits is a welcome bonus. -

The answer is yes. I learned new words and it inspired me to learn to languages. I'm learning Italian now because I was obsessed with Assassin's Creed and Ezio speaks it. I was at school and I recently finished assassin's creed 3, we were doing a test on the Revolutionary War and the question was "who was the French man that helped the colonies". I remembered assassin's creed and I remembered it was the Marquis Lafayette. I also learned surviving skillsl
