Hi all, I'm the artist of the painting used for this video. (@Naisk47) As of writing this comment, I'm currently going through a lot of anxiety (especially with the current advancement in AI technology) and doubt on myself and my own ability to make art, but looking back at your comments discussing the painting, it really encourage me to continue my path. I wanted to say thank you so much for the comments and discussions on this piece :) For years I have been reading your comment on who the protector is and the deep meaning behind this, but the truth is, there's no deep meaning behind it, it is what you see it is. When I painted this, it was just a practice painting I didn't put much thought in, I paint what was already in my mind. The only deep meaning behind this to me is that art is open for interpretation, you're free to form your own opinions on it.

Everytime I think about this it's just me and my best friend protecting each other. I protect her mentally While she protects my physically

I don't understand.... those who say "Awesome" and "Love this" when the video came out 1 min ago... its like they have already seen it... when they haven't...

Everyone fighting over who is being protected and protecting. My answer: Little girl = Protector. Samurai = Enemy. Us = Being protected. My reasoning: little girls with weapons are more threatening than trained warriors. Cause they won't give up.

I love this; I'm a therapist, mentally ill and traumatized myself, and I love my work with clients but so often I'm there after the damage is already done. Working with teenagers is actually my favorite because even though I can't punch their parents and adopt them (even though I wish I could) I can charm their parents and advocate for them both with parents and with school. I needed a protector when I was little and I'm still healing from not having one and the subtle trauma of not being able to protect other kids; so this hard commitment with no reservations and no mercy to the ones who did wrong feels exactly like when I get to protect my teen clients. I still have to fully master thinking before reacting, but that in itself is powerful and I've been making great progress as a professional there; after all, if I'm not civil and professional despite seething with absolute hatred, I won't be able to keep being a protector. So sometimes being a protector is standing resolute against the worst of it with an axe of words and then being the shelter for them to go to when what I couldn't hold back gets them. We'll win the war, and that's what matters.

To be completely honest I love this song it makes me think of things I normally wouldn’t, for example, “would I be willing to fight to the death against something or someone I know I cannot win against?” And the answer is yes, I would gladly die if it meant I could protect the person I love/care about, like family. (Even though they don’t see me as a “protector” they see me as the one needing protecting witch hurts but it’s fine)

Who is the Protector in the picture? The small girl with the firefighter axe or The Samurai with his sword? Wait! Why are they in the canalisation?

The first chorus immediately gives me chills, I love it!

The axe in the tunnel is actually a pretty good matchup, that katana's swing arc is kinda bit too large like even if the samurai does that one method of alley fighting it's still gonna be a bitch to maneuver, also because of his height, that low ceiling is gonna make things awkward and then the floor is not level. as for the girl, she got a short weapon with a much smaller arc and she doesn't have the tunnel ceiling making her crouch. my money is on the girl as long as she holds her ground.
