As a Japanese, it can be said that China is not as easy as Japan in the 1980s for the United States.

Judging from the degree of market openness, how many American companies are making huge profits in China, and how many Chinese companies are able to operate normally in the United States? I would like to ask, is China not open or is the United States closed?

Why wouldn’t the reporter and ambassador talk about Huawei or Julian Assange.

National security priorities, which country doesn’t put security above everything else? When the US puts National security above everything else it's ok but when their competitor does it, it’s a major problem, especially if it hurts their companies and financial power. The world is not level!

Saying 750,000 jobs makes the implications of total decoupling seem small. 750,000 people are less than 0.3% of the US population. The US economy added 2.7 million jobs last year. The real costs are a lot higher, of course, I just think 750K jobs is a weird line.

People who bought unfinished properties not only lost their down payment, but also had to continue paying their monthly mortgage payments.

Very interesting interview, let’s assume now India overtake China and become the biggest competitor of US, what will the ambassador say? It is not about democracy, it is about quoto” who is on the top of the food chain”

As a Chinese, I am glad to see some foreign comapanies are leaving, because it means native brand are thriving and more competitive. The young generation love homegrown products and be proud of our own products more than ever before, Huawei phone, BYD car etc. It may has something to do with national pride but more importantly these homemade product are simply just much much better. Can this be a reason that some foreign companies are leaving: they are just not as good as before?
