Xbox. Xbox. XBOX. XBOX.

> apparently in a 3x3m closet > low lighting > obstructions A kinect developer is probably crying somewhere
-
Dan... your pants are blending into the wall and your shirt into the panels, the kinect is bound to struggle lmao
-
As a software developer that work with kinect and kinect like cameras... I cried seeing him wear black with black in de background. The sensors work by projecting infrared light and then looking at how that light bounces back. Black absorbs the infrared light making it an endless void for the sensor.

The problem with the Kinect wasn't that it didn't work. The problem was that it wasn't fun. In this case, its pure user error. Dan is dresses exactly like his wall, down to the cream coloured pants, and has a third arm holding his mic for him. I've seen the debug mode for the Kinect, and I can assure you it doesn't just track the hands. It tracks the entire body. But this is all in the visible spectrum, so of course it's going to get confused when Dan looks like Ninja Hattori blending into a wall.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of RTGame The Drift King? I thought not. It’s not a story YouTube would tell you.
-
"Why isn't it jumping" He said while wearing his special purpose cammo for this room in particular, which, generosity, is about as long as he is tall, with an extra arm in front of him, while also improperly doing every move.
-
It doesn't help that he doesn't have enough space to move back like the Kinect wants. And that he's cosplaying as the wall behind him... and his mic is in the way.
-
dan claiming that he's been bending his knees the whole time while jumping, when every single time he's done it he's kept one leg perfectly straight because he's afraid of falling
-
Yoda, watching RT the Twi’lek lady get beaned on the head for the fiftieth time by a log pendulum after flailing wildly trying to jump for 30 seconds straight: Retire, I should. Not worth it, this job is.
-
It’s a tragedy that “I’m Han Solo” didn’t play at the end of Solo.
-
In this Video, the Drift King successfully Assassinates Grandmaster Yoda of the Jedi Order in a Traffic "Accident".
-
RT: Why won't the camera detect me? Also RT: Stands in front of a Black and White Background while wearing a Black and White Outfit
-
The Drift King speach as the Star Wars text crawl is not something I knew I needed this much Edit: Dan is a genius for wearing a black shirt, with a black microphone stand infront of him and black hexagons on the wall behind him
-
The memories this game brings, the impossible driving, janky jumping, and 10 minute loading screens. I loved every second of it
-
This was the last piece of Star Wars media before it was sold to Disney. George Lucas knew he peaked here.
-
RT went to alot of effort hiring actual xbox kinect engineers to help develope the worlds worst kinect set up, complete with obstructions, no space for movement, and perfect camoflage with the wall to make it extra difficult for the kinect to track his movements
-
"We've got a bad batch." STAR WARS: THE BAD BATCH
-
Everyone’s pointing out the color, but not as many people are pointing out that the wall behind him is where he’s supposed to be within the intended play area. He’s just barely playing within a distance that the Kinect will allow him to.

RTGame’s lack of ability to bend his knees when he jumps is a defining trait
