  • I think it's almost criminal Guthrie hasn't been asked to do more movie soundtracks. I suppose it's the industry's loss. His music, at least to my ears, is very cinematic.

The Moon and the Melodies is my favorite of his. It was my introduction to Cocteau Twins music when I first heard it in 1989 and been a big fan since.

Besides the amazing & noisy Link Wray, the nerdy intellectuals, Bill Nelson, R. Fripp & A. Belew; Robin Guthrie is most deffinitely my favorite electric guitarist. Nobody has his vision with dark to dreamy modulation. ❤
  • @yetanotherjohn
I think of my life in two parts: before and after I discovered the Cocteau Twins.

Great interview! It felt like you are talking to a friend in your own living room 😊. My ex husband made a pedal for Robin's guitar (we are from Uruguay), and he said it was really nice talking to him. Thank you for posting this! 👍🎶
