In all fairness, the immigration forms for Jamaica have been electronic for well over a year. It isn’t new by any means. The country has gone to great trouble to make the requirements known. Anyone traveling to any country should know what the requirements for entry are before even getting on the plane.

We ALWAYS check the entry requirements for each country just before we leave the uk as things change quickly.

Last minute or not, why wouldn’t a travel agent research the requirements ahead of time. I always do so, especially after Covid. Went to Barbados last year and was required to do an online registration ahead of time. Made customs a breeze.

I am 71 and travelled internationally very frequently. It was a chore at best and dreadful most times. I always weigh up the value of the vacation experience with the pain I have to go through to enjoy a vacation. I usually end up thinking that staying local is the best bet. I drove to Tampa and parked next to the cruise ship. Then a week of total relaxation. If I have to fly it’s a no go.

That's unacceptable... -A flight I had from Paris to NYC -got there 4 hours ahead of time, 2 hours to check my bag (they were physically opening everyones bags), then that 400 line count at their version of TSA -they had 1 person. I stood in line until I heard my flight was boarding and I walked right up and said, I have to get through. All kinds of nasty comments later, I got stuck between two men who hadn't had a shower in weeks. LONG FLIGHT!

Reminds me of one of our last flights on a holiday weekend. We went to the airport more than 2 hours before boarding time, and spent over an hour trying to check in. The airline only had 2 clerks handling the volume of passengers on Memorial Day weekend. We are TSA approved and were able to get through security quickly once we were finally checked in, but over 20 passengers behind us in line missed the flight even though they delayed takeoff for 30 minutes trying to get passengers through the lines! It was truly ridiculous.
