I hate to see this, but I'm grateful for your transparency. It's important for fellow athletes to understand the not so glamorous part of our sport. Get better soon my dude!
  • $33000!!! Free to get fixed in Oz. The US health system is tragic.
  • Dude, I always appreciate your honesty and transparency in all these videos, but I can't believe you managed to capture so much of the aftermath of the crash on camera. I also can't believe this all happened after you crossed the finish line. Stay strong. Wishing you all the best in your recovery. 🙏

I broke my collarbone 4 weeks ago. The first two weeks are the worst. hand in there my friend!
  • @pgemmell
Make sure you follow your surgeon's advice about when to start using the arm. It would be a bummer to mess with the bone healing. I've broken my collarbones a total of 5(!) times and have had 3 surgeries. I've always waited 6 week before getting back on the bike. I'm an ER doc. No more crit racing for me.
  • Dang, Claudio, sorry to hear about the rough luck. Glad to hear you're on the mend and heal up quick.
  • @high1458
Sometimes i take for granted that i live in Europe (Denmark) Budy had a concussion, stiches, MRI scan and so on. Didnt cost a single dime.
  • Dude, well done on forgiving and moving on. I'm sure that was hard but it really works out best for both of you. God bless and keep on rolling!
  • @Jarek.
Speedy recovery, Claudio! I had my collarbone surgery after a bike crash in 2020, so I know exactly how you feel. Don't lose your spirit, don't look back thinking "I wish I wouldn't do " or "I wish I did ". 👍👍
  • Same thing happened to me yesterday! Some guy came from behind and crashed us + others out AFTER finishing the line. Makes it that much more infuriating when people make dangerous decisions like that. Thankfully I got away with a sprain and road rash. Best wishes and heal up Claudio!
  • @BFin26

  • @gutierrezp49

Speedy recovery Claudio. I had broken collarbone too. Probably the worst pain I ever felt from all fractures I had.
  • @CBMaster2
Sorry this happened to you, but goddamn US health care system is complete shit!
  • @lexington476
OMG, the other racer wasn't looking at the end of the race and basically barrels right into you.... really sorry to hear about your clavicle.
  • @MrEMann
Bro telling us he weighs 258 lbs...Painkillers messing with his mind!
  • Wishing you the best through all of this, the worst is over, get well and dont rush anything. Good luck dude...
  • @doron1170
Hanging there wish you a speedy recovery
  • I am so mad for you. Mad about how messed up our country is (re: medical stuff), how messed up that crash was. fuu..... I broke my collarbone (first ever break) at 45. Snapped in two places, total bill was over $85k but luckily my insurance was excellent and covered most of it. Major ptsd watching some of this. :D The weirdest thing for me is the lack of nerve sensation, even years later and I have 2 plates and a bunch of screws so I have a fun metal bone. whee. I didn't choose to have it removed. Now, 5 years later it's starting to feel a bit more integrated. Anyway, not sure if you got any hardware installed. Always enjoyed your hype, your vibe, and your videos. Looking forward to more. Speedy and healthy recovery!
