I've been listening to Ventura Highway for the last two weeks or so, and every time I listened to it i close my eyes and imagine my self driving a classic convertible Cadillac coupe DeVille maybe, in a beautiful sunny day in the spring on an empty highway, heading all the way to California. Im from baghdad so it impossible, but who knows?

I wanna just drive away from these fires and despair, the sadness the destruction and toxicity of a collapsing society...back to either my tribes land Navajo land or Apache land with my friends from there...it’s so beautiful there, so many colors....mainland cities in Arizona suck, but tribal lands are the most beautiful and amazing thing and this sing is definitely on my playlist

This song brings back when me and my brother would go on 5 mile runs and share AirPods and this song is playing and we would run intill there is no tomorrow and then run another 5 miles back then he would take me to dolllar general and let me pick out snacks and we would drive home and eat are snacks then be proud of eachother that was 2 years ago he’s gone now he lives in another state and is busy and we are never able to visit eachother because of work and more miss u bro ❤🫡

This song to me reminds me of Spain. We go out there every year and especially last year was the best year; we had some of our best family friends come out, some of them are my age. Me and my brother and the two other kids always form a group whenever we are out there. Our house is tucked away in the mountains and it's got a pool, and we spnd our days taking mountain hikes and walking round the village. The heat is always scorching and we spend our nights looking at the stars trying not to make any noise to wake our parents up. Anyway, I was at their house the other day and the boy my age mentioned that the next time we are all free to be in spain together will be when me and him are both 18, and my brother is 21. It only just really hit me how strange it is when youre living in the moment and don't realise how precious it is until it's gone.
