We were targeting pike this video, didn’t get any just one bite. May have had better luck if we were allowed to target bass but we aren’t until second Saturday in June.

Remember this was our first time fishing here it takes more than one time to get a good review but based on our one trip this was how we felt about the spot let me know if you have caught anything here.

We got nothing, maybe we would have done better targeting bass (not allowed too until second Saturday in June). Our review is off of just one trip, so let me know if you have caught anything here or think we did anything wrong. Subscribe too see us try more spots around Toronto or any of our challenge videos!

I’ve fished the bluffs many many times both in a boat and on the shore. Just like all Toronto waterfront locations, it can be fire or an absolute wasteland from one day to the next. Definitely had better luck from a boat when conditions require covering more/deeper waters. If you’re going for pike, I’d suggest deep-diving, suspending cranks fished slowly around the drop offs and transitions. From shore, get to the outer peninsula and find that weed line on the marina side and again, slow crank with some twitches and stop n go, you might trigger ambush strikes around 15 feet out where the weed lines end and the underwater ledge drops off. And yes, the hot days are tough. The pike tend to hunker down in cooler, deeper waters during the summer months. The best time to fish it would be just after opener in the spring and possibly during the summer/fall transition but I’ve fished it mostly in spring.
