this video was so beefy my pc kept spazzing out QAQ

welcome to my beginner friendly step-by-step guide on how to set up your psd in live 2d and rigging the eyes! i made it in a way so that you could follow along while you rig your own vtuber model file from scratch :D and please turn on captions if you can't understand me because i tend to mumble and slur my words a lot lol. and remember that this is just my process! if it doesn't work for you there are plenty of other tutorials out there !!

i'll try to make my videos shorter in the future TvT this one just goes over a lot of the basics so it got pretty long... next video will be rigging the rest of the face!

I have a pretty bad learning disability and the thought of making and rigging a model has been a daunting one for nearly a year now for me. Your videos, however, have made the whole process unbelievably easy - so thank you so much for putting these together❤Something I feared would take me several months (if I was able to do it at all) to do was managed in only several hours and I'm just amazed, really. You've done a fantastic thing here and I'm so utterly grateful.

"dont delete any of these paramaters" uh oh. UH OH

Hot tip if you want your part IDs to stay readable: when naming your layers use underscores instead of spaces! It's much easier to keep track of clipping masks then since Live2D wont rename them to artmesh# :)
  • Drawing and separating eyes- 👌 Rigging eyes- 💀 I’m putting blood and sweat into making my friends new model so I’m making her pay for all of our outings together.

from the first vid i knew it'll be the best tutorial series here on yt for beginners. i wached a lot of tutorials for live2d but non of them where so clear as yours. thank you so much for making it and I can't wait for the next part!!
  • @ayponyta5640
Beginner here, and I want to say that your tutorial is indeed beginner-friendly. I was able to rig the eyes of my model as much as I could through your tutorial. May the vtubing community bless your heart and soul <3
  • @himikyu
i need you to know you saved my life by making this video. theres so many tutorial videos out there but none of them were able to help me or hold my attention the way yours did. you explained things in such a way that was so easy to digest and simple while also being very in depth and informative, there wasnt a single point where i was confused and ALSO you have the most lovely and relaxing voice. thank you so much for taking the time to make such a helpful and beginner friendly video and im really excited for more of your guides <3
  • @nyogplays
I followed this tutorial and the rest of the series and finished my model!! I just uploaded a video of my vtuber reveal if you'd like to see how it turned out! Your tutorial was SO helpful, and honestly one of the best and easiest to follow even outside of live2D! Thank you so much for taking the time to create this and allowing viewers such as myself the opportunity to learn from you <3

i'm absolutely cackling rn every so often when i'd catch the shaky ctrl+s id mentally go "you right you right" and use it in my file.. very useful and funny
  • @lunatunny7594
Whoaa!! The effort you put in these is so evident. You're gonna make waves in the vtube community.
  • @Zenkori

  • @twirlincurtis
This is probably the best Live2D tutorial I've seen! Thank you for putting in so much work! I especially appreciate the workflow tips, like setting up keyboard shortcuts or file organization. Cheers!
  • @riche_lynn
i started taking an interest in trying to draw/rig models like these. this video was a huge help and very easy to go along with. thank you so much! truly a great experience from you
  • @leetaegi6478
This tutorial helped me get used to the app just a little bit faster. So many other videos weren't explaining things well enough from a beginner's standpoint, and my workload would triple in time and energy as a result. I'm so grateful I found you so that I can work my way up from the start with ease
  • @veijuu
This one of the most beginner friendly and informative live2d videos I’ve seen. Thank you so so much! 🥰💕
  • I just finished my eye rigging following your tutorial! This video is amazing, helped me a lot! My rigging turned out much better than my previous attempts! I especially love how my eyes jiggle, I made my highlights rotate a bit when the eyes open. Thank you so much for the tutorial!
  • @Iostinmars
