Before you guys say “I didn’t hear the 76 roar in the 2021 version!” They did (or at least made a new sound that’s similar to it) use it, but added different filters to have a more “modernized” quality.

The thumbnail looks so terrifying, like a zombie Kong.
-
Fun fact: They used the original Godzilla roar for Godzilla in KOTM. Idk how many times he used that roar, but it was definitely heard when he blasted Ghidorah back in the Battle in Boston scene. For Kong to use a more original roar, the one used in the 1976 film, is proof that the people who directed the first two movies are aware that a lot of older fans are gonna be watching these movies. I won't be surprised if some of those people, the ones who have directed these films, are old fans too.

It’s the most iconic Kong roar imo. Glad I grew up with the ‘76 remake, instantly recognized it the moment they reused it for GvK
-
Yeah, that would be the Universal Studios stock monster roar. It's been used for various monsters since the 50s.
-
King Kong 1976 is soooo underrated
-
In Godzilla King of the monsters he roared like "well years of 19's Godzilla roars "
-
“WB sure likes fan services” Yes. Tell that when it comes to DC Comics
-
Fun Fact: Peter Cullen, the legendary voice behind Optimus Prime and many other iconic characters did the vocal effects for King Kong in the 1976 version
-
I like how they used 1976 King Kong's roars for Kong. Just like how they used the 1954 roar for Godzilla in KOTM. I hope if there's any other movies for the Monsterverse that they use one of the 2005 King Kong's roars or 1933's. If it's Godzilla I hope they use one of Heisei's roars or Millennium's roars for a movie.
-
Let's hope that the 1976 roar makes a return in Future Monsterverse films.
-
It sounds like, when Jerry gets angry on Tom and beats him.
-
It does sounds familiar... ... but the thumbnail is a masterpiece. That's like one of the most horrifying version of Kong I've seen so far. Simply well-timed lol
-
Say what you like about the campiness and lack of dinosaurs in KK 76, what you can't take away from it is the fact that it has absolutely the most heart breaking death scene of any Kong film.
-
It fits here a lot better than when Gamera: The Brave used it.
-
Now, I need to rewatch the 1976 Godzilla film for this.
-
Kinda sounds like prowler's theme in Spiderman into the spiderverse
-
My heart moves for 2005, but 76 made me shed that single tear
-
Fun fact: The 1976 roar of King Kong was done by the legendary Peter Cullen, voice of Optimus Prime and also the creature sound behind the Predator from the first movie.

Props to you guys! Being able to recognize a sound from a 1976 movie is honestly impressive!
