Ever wondered how exactly can one find his or her Ikigai? Is that Venn Diagram even helpful?

In this video I tried to question the Ikigai Venn diagram and got to know it's actual origin.

I forgot to mention one point in the video that I have just spoken about the reality of Venn Diagram and not about the whole Ikigai book. OfCourse the book talks about a lot of valuable lesson but I just wanted to point out the Venn Diagram part without demining the book. I have personally read the book and I loved it when I read it. 😃
  • @LoveWithAdrish
I've read the book recently. And tbh it was worth reading. The whole book isn't centered around that one diagram. It has some valuable lessons inside.
  • @aish_seojudin
In my opinion every teen must read this book...it is a life changing for me.
  • @ShivamYadavTloks
It literally teaches us a way to live peaceful, stress-free, meaningful, hassle-free, productive and long life. I am re-reading it and found nothing misleading so far... Individual opinions may vary...

I am not a huge fan of self-help books but Ikigai is one book that actually helped me a lot in my life. I dont think the Venn diagram is a scam or so- might work for some, night mot for some other. It didn't for me but everything else in the book actually helped me be more mindful and helped me sit with peace. I would ask you to definitely read the book. 😊

For enjoying your present, you need to understand 'what are your interests?' which forms the base of ikigai book...It describes that you'll feel happiness automatically if you are busy pursuing your interests, hobbies, things you love to do...so I think this diagram is relevant for describing ikigai...I don't see any problem with that and it doesn't make sense to say that it's a lie

hello Drishti a follower from Tamil nadu, I too had this question when I listened the book ikigai from Kuku FM. But I didn't searched the answer, I felt very happy and a sense of satisfaction after watching this video. I love your style of delivering the content, although your not consistent the topic you choose will be enjoyable and makes a deeper connection towards it.

I completely agree with you. Don't blindly accept everything you encounter; instead, question, verify, and validate. Thank you for sharing this message. 💕

I read this book 4 years ago and was obsessed to this concept as an unbreakable rule, but recently I was feeling lost! Thanks for addressing this!

I bought this book when I saw this in one of your reel. It's a very nice book. I became a book reader because of you.
  • @hydramind
She is like source of positivity. I was felling little low due to chain of events in my life but this video feels so refreshing. Thank you so much, Drishti!!
  • @Kitabinari
I am so glad that you raised a question and also made it clearer for us. It's very necessary to have questions in order to grow and not just consume information as it is. Loved the video and your hard work to make it easy for us to understand.

Hey, Drishti! When it comes to changing lives and having a good mindset, I would say the most underrated book is "The Courage to be Disliked". Its definitely not a beginner friendly book and it literally goes deep down to discuss the human psychology with a touch of Greek philosophy. But yeah don't let that scare you cause the authors have done an excellent job in presenting the whole book in the form of Dialogue. Drishti, as you read and suggests great books, you must give this a try. Cause I genuinely believe that it's the most underrated.
  • @therainbowgirl647
There is a saying "We should never believe a thing simply because we want to believe it". when I read Ikigai, I really wanted to believe that I found my worth in living but as time passed I questioned if it is really my Ikigai. Now I am in a stage where I don't have an Ikigai, which is fine. I have also found out that purpose and ikigai are different and complementary. Now it feels acceptable as you spoke about it otherwise I wouldn't stop questioning my morality.
  • This is true, when I understood this chart I did question but never researched and also I was under impression I don't know my ikigai so I prepared it and fit in what I liked as answer to all questions, I am not saying it's not correct but the thing is ultimately what you like or love is the center. I genuinely agree with you and why and how my thoughts are spoken by you, it's amazing 😅
  • @sameerr0143
Beautiful explanation..... I believe 99% so called self help books have the same issue...... I admire your outlook and guts to put out ur thoughts without thinking about people's feelings, which are very easy to hurt these days..... All the best buddy... Keep making good stuff

I don't usually comment on YouTube videos but Trust me Drishti you made me do it. I'm so proud of you that I've been your regular watcher since you hit 10k. Need more videos like this. Absolutely loved it ✨
  • I felt 'Ikigai' was more like what the people from those select places had in common and a few general health tips. I didn't understand the Venn diagram as in reference to my own life. But I think the book in general inspired me to think about living a very long but purposeful life. It may not be because of this book alone, but before I never thought of living for 100+ years but now I think about it and have been making healthy choices. Thank you for making this video
