Authorities released this bodycam footage showing the moments leading to the fatal shooting. The woman, 36-year-old Sonya Massey, had called 911 to report a suspected intruder. Two deputies reponded. One of them told Massey to check on a pot of boiling water. He then told her to drop the pot of hot water, and shot her. He has been charged with murder.

The act is Murder, not Killing.
-
That cop needs to be in prison
-
The former office worked for multiple police departments (I've heard 6) in the last 4 years, had at least 2 DUIs, multiple complaints against him, was condescending from the beginning, said he would shoot her in the face and did. Yeah, something is very wrong here.
-
this is ridiculous. she is the one who called, how on earth could she be a threat to you??
-
It's fortunate that we live in an age where bodycams exist.
-
Keep in mind that throughout this entire encounter, the police officer that murdered her never had his body camera on. The murderous cop only turned on his body camera after he murdered her. It's as if his mental state was to do something to her. I suggest people go to The Civil Rights Lawyer YouTube page where he covers this video because you see the entire encounter from beginning to end. The murderous cop's partner is visibly shaken when you see him opening up the trunk of his police video and his hands are shaking while trying to compose himself. Meanwhile, the murderer has a demeanor of someone who got caught doing something he shouldn't have done while showing no remorse at all.

Who on earth asks ANYONE to drop a pot of boiling water!! Their conversation seemed quite calm n reasonable.
-
Oftentimes these things have multiple viewpoints which need to be considered. This one does not.
-
Absolutely atrocious but this is the average for our police in the US, This cops partner got him caught by having his bodycam on. Had the bodycam not been on the officer would've gotten away with it.
-
He literally says his intention to shoot her in her head and then does so. If that isn’t clear intent and first degree murder I don’t know what is?
-
Ever wonder how the world thinks American government is going to treat them when this is how they treat their own citizens ever wonder that?
-
I’m an American and I’m learning about this from a German news outlet because our media is so astroturfed and suppressed online
-
in US they just teach shoot to kill at the accademy
-
I am usually behind the police but this was so wrong it makes me sick. She was no threat to the officers life and even if they were in fear of the water being tossed at them it calls for a taser
-
Nothing matters now, society without justice is not a society.
-
The issue in the US is overuse of firearms by police. For people living outside the US it s hard to comprehend how this kind of accident happen in the US.
-
I saw the footage where he was still outside you could see he had turned her into prey and manipulated his way into more potential for what he thought was an open shot that could be justified. He was hunting.
-
I don't want the cops that are scared of hot water to show up at an emergency. This stuff happens...
-
If someone who called 911 is holding a pot of water that you told them too take care of is what you consider “threat” by definition that’s a setup premeditated murder.
-
Fiddy bucks says that cop thinks the death penalty should be brought back. Present company excluded of course.
