Join us in this insightful conversation with 20+ year active trading veteran: Peter Reznicek aka Shadow Trader. This is Peter's 2nd appearance on the Speculators Podcast and it's been a pleasure both times because he has an incredible amount of wisdom & experience to share. Our first conversation covered more of his background and personal trading approach/methodology. So with that already covered, this time it allowed us to dive deeper into critical topics like patience & discipline, probabilistic-thinking, managing downside risk, and limitations of technical analysis. Kick back, relax, and enjoy the conversation with me and Shadow Trader in episode 46 of the Speculators Podcast.

Best one thus far Korbs 👌 thank you for making this happen 🙏
  • Amazing chemistry together, I do hope you two can have even more conversation on all topics trading.

I’ve been member at shadow trader since last few years and it’s truly a gift to see Peter trade live. He’s absolutely the best person to learn various nuances on options trading and super humble and approachable with great sense of humor.

yuuuuup. awesome and great trading advice. u need to get to the point where u know in ur heart that u will follow ur plan. once that is there then u can collect the correct data which will help going forward in the correct direction

Good question. Im the guy from question 2. I have a great feel for the auction and a system in place but before I know if im back to scalping every little move, getting chopped to pieces.

A big part of psychology is when you cut a loss then it runs in your favor and you miss it. That can wreak havoc on your psychology. Or when you exit and take profits but the stock keeps going. It sets you up for the next bad hold for too long. You have to learn you won’t be perfect to exit at the top and that’s ok. It’s my biggest challenge.

I was just telling my dad yesterday that he has to write everything down and collect as much data on himself and the market as possible. I’ve been telling him that for the last year but he won’t take any advice I give him. He’s down like 80% in his account. He hasn’t learned anything in that time and cost. When I started trading and a trade didn’t work, I say it was a $50 lesson to learn…

5:40 I’m going through that right now but I don’t at all feel like the market is out to get me. I feel like I just need to work on my entries and exits, stop hesitation when it’s a clear trade and don’t jump in and be impatient when it’s not clear but I just missed a beautiful trade so now I’m forcing one. It’s all me. The market wants me to make money. It gives great opportunities every day

sound like the questions you were asking were about yourself
