In this episode I am crossing the Saloum Delta in Senegal, on my way to The Gambia. Another border crossing yes! The border crossing is fine - but the chaos truly begins when I board the ferry to cross the river Gambia! There are many, many, police and army checkpoints in The Gambia and they all ask me tonnes of questions. They don't get to see women on motorcycles here often..

They are shocked/ disbelieve( all over the world ) by her presence that they feel a sense of calm and the need to keep her safe and show off their country ! Noraly living the life most people envy .
  • Gambian people are so friendly - "you are the lady I Iove", "we are proud of you", and "you are short" πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ ... gotta love these straight forward down to earth folks who wear their hearts on their sleeves! ❀
  • The more I watch, the more it confirms that in general, people all over the world are good and kind!
  • I'm proud of my fellow Gambians for always showing hospitality and support to tourists and wayfarers . Love can solve all the problems we encounter throughout the world, let's love each other. I was in Turkey for over a year and everyone I met showed me love and respect , and werw fascinated by my dark complexion which was absolutely no problem for me lol. We love you Noraly!

10:30 ''people from holland are tall, why are you short'' had me rolling on the floor!

As a female who used to ride, I wish I had the guts to ride alone in different countries for the adventure! Very proud of you.

Once again, HUGE shout out to the boatmen who gave so much TLC to Alaska. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ’ͺ As the man on the ferry said: "We are Proud of you!!" too. πŸ₯°πŸ₯° Best Wishes and Safe Travels!! πŸ‘β€πŸπŸ€

Ms. Itchy living the life. The policeman's reaction to your short stature as a Dutch was funny. Great music on the video
  • It's possible that the phrase of "You're the lady I love," could, logically, be interpreted as "You're a woman whose style I admire!" Not EVERY spoken word needs to be taken at face value, you know! (Particularly when people are using a language that is dissimilar to the language with which they were raised. Communication CAN be tough!)

I love seeing the different cultures, dresses, foods, towns, roads, buildings, trees, plants, sceneries, lands, languages, people, etc...all around the world! Thank you! πŸ™‚
  • Your ability to negotiate your way through all these foreign countries is always pleasing and educational, Noraly. People seem naturally drawn to you and so many show their admiration for you as is the case with all of us following you. You’ve really got it all figured out. Wishing you more pleasant encounters with the friendly people of Africa…❀❀❀Rick
  • Gambian men only saw noraly once. What they didn’t know is how many super bikes she owns, riding through Asian continent, from south Argentina to North Pole, through the Moroccan desert, tumbling over Alaska etc. If they knew this Gambian men would have fainted. I do hope noraly will have more subscribers from Gambia now. Wishing you a safe and interesting journey dear noraly from ALL of us.! ❀❀❀❀❀❀❀

  • You seem to adapt so easily to changes in circumstances, from riding through desert for long distances to crossing water in small boats. Regardless of circumstances the local people seem to embrace you. I'm loving the African series!
