Being a half Mexican comic, I had a joke I performed with, and saw Johnny Sanchez say nearly the same joke in one of his televised acts, a few years later. It was a little gem and I was pissed for a while, because he performed it on TV first so I had to retire it from my own arsenal. Then I thought about it a little less selfishly; If he wrote the same joke and is performing it on tv to a good laugh... I've got to be on the right track.
