Love these patterns. Great idea and a perfect gift for any woman. For an extra special gal in your life matching body towel wrap would be a nice addition. 🧖‍♀️

I had a towel that had gotten ruined on one end that I was able to recycle into this project so thank you so so much for your very clear and efficient tutorial! I'm so excited to finally have some terrycloth wrist bands for when I wash my face and a nice matching headband to keep my hair out of my face <3 If anyone does the same thing with an old towel, just a quick tip! If your terrycloth is thicker or heavier than the one shown here - some of the dimensions given here will be a touch too tight to be able to turn your sewn pieces right-side out once they are sewn. For example, on the headband, the 11.25" x 2.5" piece that encases the headband elastic. If your terry is thick, it really won't slide over itself like it needs to in order to turn it back right-side out once you've made it into a tube. I ended up needing to cut an 11.25" x 4" rectangle to get a tube with enough space to make that flip. Same goes for the notches you're creating for the pieces that create the front knot (on the two 4.25" x 16" pieces). Make your notches 7" from each end and not 7.5". So you get a good wide 2" in the middle that you sew. Otherwise, the loop you create to form your knot won't be wide enough to pass the other piece through to connect them. Once I adjusted these components I was able to finish the tutorial just fine with a nice thick terrycloth. Best of luck!

  • @nunurockstar
Can you make the frankies bikinis terry cloth coverups?
  • On the video you say 7½ × 7½ from each raw edge with 2 inches in between making it 17 inches all together but in the description it says 16 inches. Does the extra inch make a difference? Or can I do either on the headband? Love this video!
