The Marie Forleo site banner is now full width and video 😆 I think with anything the best to do is what works for your business and your audience and not worry so much about trends.

4:16 - Outdated Trend nr 5: Scripty Fonts. 5:12 - Download my homepage content planner full of scripty fonts 😂😂
  • @DianeWhiddon
This was so helpful! I've been noticing the BIG FONTS trend, but hadn't articulated it yet, and I will be SO happy to see the beige website trend come to an end! :) Thanks for this vid, Paige!

Your Squarespace course teaches outdated design, will you be updating it?
  • Is it possible to do a partly movement (9.45 of your video) on the squarespace design?
  • @gurothobru3455
Great video! I'll re-think a feeew of the choices I've made on my not yet published website😅 About the all beige being over-used and that trends that com fast also leaves fast. Could you give examples of the opposite (if that exists) – timeless web design trends? Perhaps I´ll pop the question in the group next week 😃

Hi Paige, Can you guide me on how to add a hamburger to my header? I like the simplicity and organization of that look and cannot figure out how that is done. Thank you for all you do!
  • @bethh2953
I’m in the process of designing my own website so this was really timely advice!

Great video! Really love the direction of abstract website accents (instead of icons) and more movement / caught in the moment photography happening over the staged looks. I do find that some of the new trends are more time consuming to create (animated features, non-grid unique layouts). Which isn't a bad thing, just means I maybe need to relook at my pricing.

Incase you ever thought your life was trivial , remember this woman exists 😂
  • @elberthardy961
Seems to me an unfortunate waste of page real estate which makes it boring to have to spend so much time scrolling to that which is pertinent. Black and white doesn't cut it for those of us who grew up with B&W TV.
  • @frigola21
Who decides what's outdated and what's in? (genuine question)?
  • I still find a lot of "scripty" fonts on websites, especially when the target audience is women. I think that this design choice is deeply connected to the outdated idea that feminine means (only) softness, sweetness, pureness. So, in my humble opinion, no one should choose this kind of fonts because they are difficult to read and, and mostly, 100% anti-feminist. That's incredible how even a design choice can speak about the time we are living. 🙂

@PaigeBrunton Not sure you saw my comment here but I am genuine interested in hearing your thoughts to this so just trying again Thanks in advance - best from Susanne
