i like going on that high ground where the crashed plane is because a airdrop is up there and you can refuel. i got into the gateway with 3/4ths of a tank on the regulear truck you get. thanks for the vid was finally ab to get this mission done.

Just finished the mission on my second try and went on YouTube look how others struggle with it :D There is few ways how to make it easier. First pick stronger engine (fuels is actually not a problem). You can go with two trucks and refuel and resupply right before you jump to the Wahweap Bay and you can also pick operator that reduces your fuel consumption. In Wahweap Bay best approach is to drive on top of the rock platforms rather than use the river basin (open your map and you shouldn´t have problem to spot very nice path on top of the rock platforms that are located on the right/east off the river basin). Doing all that I arrived at the hill climb with 204l of fuel so approximately 4x amount you have in this video and with stronger engine the hill climb wasn´t so painful.

You are a life saver, I honestly thought this was bugged or poor game design not to let us take more than one vehicle through gateways. I missed the bit where it states its very hard and my Snowrunner brain couldn't compute why we can't switch to another vehicle and also take it through the gateway.

You can also winch a support vehicle through the tunnel just like in Snowrunner. If you load up the Tuz Acteon with fuel and take it with you to the gateway, you can top off the Step either before or after going through the gateway.

I took the upper path. Brought 2 trucks. Made a bridge which makes the first half way easier. But thank you for showing us where the objecice actually is! I thought "there is no way i can get up there"

Great video. Only tip I can give is don’t use your 4wd unless you need it. I got to the fast travel with over 3/4 of a tank left. Also use high gear as much as you can

Completed this without issues fast, found optimal paths right away. And I went to this mountain using path to the right of yours on the other side where it appears that there's a lot of water. However it was shallow there near the cliff and you can clearly see it from the drone, no problem for a truck with mud tyres, haven't stuck once.. The most irritating and tedious in this game is "explore the area" bullsh*t tasks.

Oo my god thank you you helped me out so much you just don't know ooo hi from Lagrange ga in America I followed your route the Frist time an dang if I didn't forget the jack screws lol got stuck at the rock hill coming from the start of wahweap bay an had to start over didn't forget them the next time an made it with a half tank of fuel thanks again keep up what your doing

What I did was take the Cotco scout with me on first map to refuel the Step before moving maps so I went in with full tank

Ffs I didn’t realize you can explore the area with the drone 🤦🏾‍♂️, I just made it up there after 3 trys and by the time I got to 100% explored I ran out of fuel because I was driving round in circles and could go to the point 😂

This will be my third attempt. Last night I ran out of fuel just after the pile of rocks you have to get over right at the edge of the search zone. Im going to give it a go again with the fuel drone module

there is also a specialist that lets ur drone fly 280 meters instead of 80. using binoculars for the discovery helps if there isnt mounds in the way. this mission took me by surprise due to how long it took.. i think i had to take a break for a meal! also, you can look out for air drops. those helped me out but they can be kinda random..

Kinda late to the party but I hope people see this comment. Before reaching wahweap bay, you can go up the climb where the crashed airplane and go around to reach wahweap bay. I found this to be easier and also saved fuel as there’s an airdrop. Also, once in wahweap bay you don’t have to take the ravine path shown in the vid but instead go right. There’s places you can squeeze through with less hassle than driving through water. The path is also shorter. But once you reach the bottom of the objective cliff you follow the same path as shown in the video. Small tip. If you take a scout filled with fuel till the wahweap teleport gate, you can have a full tank of gas when you start wahweap.
