I developed this idea a few weeks back. I was thinking to myself, what would it be like to have an aquarium that resembles something like an infinity pool? As I pondered on the idea, I came up with a system that features an upflow bog filter system.

I honestly think it's a really fun idea and possibly something I'll fine-tune in the future. What do you think? Should I do it again? Also, what do you think about the project? Let me know down in the comments!

I'm back with another wacky project! As I entertained this idea, I knew it HAD to make it to the channel. Let me know what you think about the result. Also, do you think this is something I should fine tune on a larger scale?
  • So motivating, good bye cruel world I’m off to build and live in a human sized Serpa vivarium.

I thought of an idea that could be good for a 2nd version. Instead of using one mirror on the front bottom tank, make the bottom tank all out of glass, and use mirrors on all sides of middle support (which not only would make it look like there were more plants and rocks in the bottom, but might also give the illusion that the top tank is magically floating above the bottom tank even if its only at first glance).

The overflow effect on the sides adds a really interesting look when viewed from the front, reminiscent to me of volcanic hot water vents you sometimes see videos of. Makes me want to come up with a cool tank design of my own as a hobby :)
  • Hands down one of the most creative aquascaping youtubers. The vivarium aspect is such a gorgeous effect that adds so much to it. If I were to attempt this build I'd probably design it for the corner of a room and have the waterfall only on one side, with the bottom tray extending only on that side and the front (for plants). I'd want to try and figure out a way to make the pump accessible for maintenance too. Absolutely stunning little tank though

Looks great and is very inspirational how you didn’t gave up and keep trying, until the variable was perfected.
  • I like how serpa makes things simple and doesn’t overcomplicate what he’s doing.

Nice!!! Looks awesome! I'd use bamboo for the bottom plants but that's a personal preference
  • Honestly this is one of my favorites, it looks so natural and so off the cuff and so comfortable. And I can just imagine the sound of running water and I think that's amazing
  • Honestly if this was made into a product that hit the market I would probably buy it. Looks really professional.
  • I love how you've honed your craft over the years. I first discovered your channel through your How-to Terrarium series more than five years ago. I've enjoyed watching as you've developed your style and grew in confidence. Well done!

That one shrimp just dive bombing into the sand 😂😂😂

Wow this has got to be one your best builds. as far as running with it in the future, it would be super cool to do multiple tanks with overflows in a step-down pattern down to a bog filter that extends farther away in order to showcase some more plants in it. would be an awesome setup to do a betta in each of the step-down tanks

I am from Germany and the way you said ´Süßwassertang´ was so wholesome. For those who are interessted what it means: Directly translated it´s ´Sweet Water Tang´. Ps. I enjoy watching your videos in the evening to go to sleep easier and it helps me a lot. I get so many Ideas of how I can design my first Aquascape.

..... You absolutely deserve an 'At-A-Boy' for a most interesting, and beautiful project ... Everything is aesthetically pleasing ... The design, the function, the plants, the shrimp !!! .....

Nobody does it like you, Serpa!! Thank you for always sharing your newest creative ventures ! Can’t wait for more !

One of the main reasons I keep aquariums is because I love water, the relaxing movements and sounds, keeping fish and plants is a bonus. I like the idea of a fountain/aquarium myself and have been looking into doing something similar. I like how it turned out, you should definitely do more designs like this.
  • @Icehso140
One thing I see with this design is creatures "riding the wave" and ultimately ending up in the bottom tank. I've had my snails crawling up and out of a regular tank. But it still looks very nice.

I love it! Incredible vision brought to fruition as always! I especially love how you include all the details and set backs rather than just showing a perfect process, it’s really encouraging and inspiring to see you overcome hurdles and keep evolving your idea to a finished product. Great stuff once again!
