  • “He’s not thinking about dying he’s still thinking about living “ that hit me 🥺

He‘s brutally honest about himself, his mistakes, his regrets. And really appreciative about the good people he crossed paths with. You‘re a good man, Elton John.

We should all be so fortunate to have a friend who remembers us like Elton remembers Freddie.

Not only Elton, Roger Taylor also still tears up at times when talking about Freddie. For his friends to still be so affected almost 30 years after he died, I think that says a whole lot about what an incredible person and great friend Freddie must have been.

“I still have the pillow case next to my bed” made me tear up 😢😢
  • Thank you Elton John, for being a good friend/brother. Freddie Mercury will always love you.

That was Freddie Mercury in a nutshell. He knew he was dying, he knew he wouldn't see Christmas 1991 but he still made sure he bought his friends and family Christmas presents. He also donated a lot of his money to charity. He was a very generous man. I have read various storys too about how he would secretly send familys who were going through financial struggles money without them actually knowing where it came from.

Wouldn’t it be beautiful to meet someone like Freddie in your lifetime. He knew what life was all about.
  • My dad has a friend who worked for an Italian tv channel back then and he went to London for an event. They went to a dinner in a restaurant with his crew one night. Freddie and some of his entourage and friends were there at one table pretty close to them. My dad's friend recognized Freddie, and being a big fan he asked a waiter to deliver a bottle of wine at Freddie's table. When Freddie noticed the bottle was offered, he stood up, went to my dad's friend table and shared it with them. They spoke for a minute and then Freddie asked my dad's friend for his home address. He didn't realize why Freddie asked for it but he wrote it down for him. Then everyone went back to their business. A few months later, 2 tickets for the Wembley '86 concert came in the mail.  That's how Freddie Mercury was.

It just kills me when he gets emotional here when he talks about the painting that Freddie gave him!

I never thought I would be crying over a damn pillowcase but here we are

For all his extravagances, tantrums, and whatever else, Elton John has matured into one of the most humble, caring and commonsensical people in the industry. He tells it like it is, which so refreshing.

Rest in peace freddie, the Queen of the universe shall never be forgotten ❤️
  • I have always loved Elton for the love and care he showed to Freddie and others. He wrote on the card of the funeral flowers "Thank you for being my friend, I will love you always, Elton XXX" When Fred died a light went out in the world, a light that can never ever be replaced. No one has ever come close to being his equal musically...and I'm absolutely certain no one ever will. His loss still makes me cry just like the young child I was in 1991. A beautiful, funny and kind human being. Loved and missed... til the end of time 💔

Freddie Mercury: “Lover of life, singer of songs.” ~Brian May Freddie was lucky to have Sir Elton as his friend. ❤️❤️
  • Freddie Mercury knew he was going to die one day, but he continued to work on making music, so for my part he deserves the best respect in the world!
