23 guests. 3 studios. 1 joy.

The 200th episode of The Headgum Podcast has arrived, and it contains overlapping dialogue galore!

Zach Dunn gives Geoff writing advice. Everyone grades the first 200 episodes on a custom rubric provided by Geoff. Plus the entire onslaught of guests competes in an everyone-for-themself round of "Geoffardy" with a real prize of a $500 AirBnb gift card!

It’s crazy that even with 23 guests spread across multiple locations, Geoff still refuses to share the limelight for even one second. Ready for another 200 episodes of poison

Anya laughs like a French noblewoman, it makes this podcast listenable

Idk how he did it but Geoff is the de facto mascot of Headgum, and I can't tell if that's a good thing or the final nail in the coffin for the company. Congrats on 200.

all jokes aside the headgum podcast is probably my favorite podcast in the last 2 years

The discovery of the video transitions was maybe the first time I've heard the guests express genuine joy.

Ive rewatched this episode several times over the weekend and i just can’t get over how everybody is lovingly smiling and dancing at geoffs latest rice song. Sorry i dont have the cutting wit of the rest of the viewers I have nothing funny or clever to say. I just love this show. I started watching in 2024 and wish id found it sooner

Johnny and Joel sharing headphones is, quite frankly, couple goals

"bad vibes and durian" absolutely has to be the new tagline of the pod

Stopping a moment of joy and laughter to force a wax segment with 22 people is top tier podcasting

You do have to love Geoffrey’s commitment to “overlapping dialogue”, something generally considered bad

I can’t believe I’ve been listening to this podcast for 10 years. Feels like 40.

In the spirit of the nicest words ever said in this podcast, I wanted to share mine as well. I’ve been a day 1 listener. I was one of the people genuinely complaining that they were getting shorter because I wanted more. I’ve listened and watched, not only every episode, but every episode multiple times (yes even the worst ep series). It never fails to make me genuinely happy. This podcast has been my companion through some really hard moments, and I owe it more than I’m willing to admit. Sincerely, thank you for everything. I truly hope it lasts forever and will be heartbroken when Geoff inevitably moves on to do whatever aspirations he has and is sure to achieve.

The rice parody, both in terms of lyrics and energy of the performance, was genuinely amazing
