Played the game on release till lv 28 then lost interest but got back in to it recently because of a friend and it’s allot better now. It’s not a perfect game but it’s a bethesda game so the jank is part of the game. Them adding npc’s and more story along with the survival tweaks makes the game feel like fallout four but with friends, the new weapon variety makes the combat feel more varied. The player venders makes the economy feel like it’s not just some random game values for items but what’s the players think there worth and that makes the game more fun as well.

I feel like fallout 76 as it is now is the fallout 76 they originally envisioned back in the concept stage.

So, do you like it when a character talks to you and asks you philosophical questions? :D

Honestly I'm pretty disappointed with Fallout 76. The game doesn't hold your hand through the intro very well. Then you're left with a massive open world and endless fetch quests. The end game focuses on crafting legendary weapons to support a character build, loosely strung together with the few limited perks available. This game feels like a demo, of what could become a very polished title. Disappointing at best.
