There's kind of a plot hole here What did the grandpa do if it started to rain in the middle of the night while he's sound asleep? Why wouldn't the spirit take advantage of that and just end it?

Does the ghost still come if it snows? The ghost seemed have a physical presence since it had to restrain the grandfather so if you were in an office with a load of people then it seems like you all could try to stop it
