How beautiful is to refresh your home page and you see this gorgeous gentleman ready with a new reaction
  • Jean always mention about Marco throughout the series, mostly referred as ash or bones etc etc. Marco's existence is solely for Jean 's character development, like that man barely do anything but gave more impact than most character even when he died a long time ago. He always gets overlooked, he might not be the strongest soldier but he got that kindness and positivity in him

yes it has been showing the whole time ever since the first episode of the series

If you don't know, the little girl with Thunder Spear shrapenel is the same girl that Mikasa saved in Season 1 when the Merchant had his cart stuck in the escape path and the same little girl on of the soldiers wanted to go visit before Commander Pixis reminded everyone about stopping their families from experiencing the horror of the Titans.
  • "Night of the End" might not be an action-packed thrillride but it is a powerful episode. You see the older characters still holding onto their grievances and prejudices, even in the face of world annihilation. Jean becomes blinded by his need for retribution and loses sight of all collateral damage he may cause, in this case Gabi catching an errant kick. Then after finally seeing the younger generation, mere children, shouldering the blame do they all finally decide not to instantly forgive one another but strive towards the prospect of a better tomorrow together.
  • 3:23 they show something similar if not exactly that in episode 1πŸ˜… though i remember that in episode 1, you can see a boat coming towards the island (probably the boat annie, bert, marcel, reiner used to come to the island from marley

Notice at 14:07, Jean’s β€œwife” in his daydream looks like Mikasa. He’s had feeling for her since they first joined the scouts and he saw her in the cabin where Eren and him fought for the first time

a lot of people were hating on episode 25 episodes when it came out but I really loved it. Everyone has done something messed up for their "own reasons", and one could argue about who gets what blame for years and years but the only true solution is to acknowledge what happened and move together to a better future. Jean's outburst at Reiner is a perfect summary of every theme in this show in about 30 seconds. Yes, what Reiner did was horrible. Yes, Jean absolutely had reason to be upset. But he can kick Reiner's face in all he wants, it doesn't change what happened nor does it help solve the current issues right now. You might gain temporary satisfaction but it doesn't last long - shown by Reiner healing fast with his titan powers. All that eventually comes out of it is other people getting caught in the crossfire who have nothing to do with it, giving them their own reason to retaliate and bringing a whole new generation of kids into this conflict they weren't even present for. The parallels here in this episode with what Sasha's dad was saying about the forest, the episode itself taking place in one, and Sasha's dad's words literally playing out in real time. Not to mention the character work done for Jean here, who has always had such a well written character. Whole thing is brilliant imo and it's sad to see many people write it off because it's not just action.

The whole metaphor behind Sasha's dad's idea of "escaping the forest" and moving on from the cycle of violence is exemplified here where they literally leave the forest and put their differences aside

3:20 yes that's a map of marley and yes it was the same in the first episode of season 1
  • Yes the episode no. card did always show that! Insane foreshadowing detail am i right? !

Night of the End ties up most of the tensions between he warrior program and the scouts. Though we the audience know what happened to Marco, the Scout didn't up to this point. That was little loose end out of the way...
  • 11:43 I love this, first he wants Mikasa to go after them, then he realizes, "wait a minute, I should be worried"
  • @onepiecebarca
Since you like attack on titan and Vinland Saga you need to watch: Monster, Berserk, LOGH, Cowboy Bebop, Castlevania
  • i think episode 24 was the tipping point of where it all starts to go downhill. not horribly, until the absolute last chapter where it drops off a cliff. But the cringevengers was definitely a slope in quality.
