If there's one thing that I'm hoping we'll get down the road with Sonic games, is the introduction of more playable characters. So far they seem to be limiting themselves to Tails, Amy and Knuckles, but now their starting to branch out to other characters like Shadow. I hope that one day will be able to play as characters like Silver or hell even the Chaotix would be fun to play as, especially if they all have their own unique abilities like what Shadow's getting.

Shadow Generations might as well be better since it’s running on a newer engine, is centered around a fan favorite, and honestly… If it does include Forces stages, there’s a chance they’ll be better here than in that game.

Sonic Generations is my third favorite Sonic game, only beaten by Sonic Adventure 2 , and Sonic Unleashed. Depending on how good Sonic X Shadow Generations is, I can see it moving Generations up to becoming my favorite game in the series.

What I like about the gameplay footage we’ve gotten so far of Shadow Generations is how big the stages look and feel with multiple different pathways. Sort of like how the daytime stages were handled in Unleashed where there are multiple routes off the main path that can lead to shortcuts. It looks to be a far cry from the linearly of Sonic Forces, which is great. Hopefully the rest of the returning stages will be just as good. I’m cautiously optimistic with Sonic X Shadow Generations.

i think that maybe because of Sonic X Shadow Generations,along with the success of Sonic Frontiers will maybe finally make Sonic's reputation good again to non-sonic fans and people in general and them not thinking that sonic was always for kids,the stories are too childish,and the sonic was never good at all (sorry for the over-usage of the word "and")
