Honestly ranks in tekken are horseshit,Ive seen people LEAUGES apart in skill on the same rank .It depends on so many factors that it just isn't accurate to call a fujin better than a mighty ruler.Small things like learning optimal combos, ducking strings, learning frame data etc are much better to determine your skill.

Tekken king Steve here, the skill jump once you get to blue is massive
  • Early blue: Finding out what buttons do Green: Finding out what more buttons do Yellow-Orange: Start learning combos plus mashing helps Red-Purple: You've found a character you like and learned strings and combos that most people get irritated by Blue: You actually start knowing your shit Above: You know your shit
  • No matter what rank u get you wil STILL be a green rank with 2 brain cells! -The Tekken Community

My highest ranked character is Fujin. I want to at least get to Kishin which is the equivalent to my Tekken 7 rank Yaksa. I like the higher level match-ups in blue ranks. My best advice is once you rank-up, go back to quick matches to get comfortable playing your rank and just have fun . When you start to improve and "git gud" then go back to rank to see where you stand

    Immaculate prod quality, underrated channel

Another thing to consider is your character pick. Getting to Mighty Ruler on King is not the same as getting to it on Bryan/Kazuya/Lee, the work you need to put in is completely different. So if you hit these ranks on a hard character, pat yourself on the back.
  • Woo! Tekken Emperor and a few Tekken Kings. Thanks for the input, brother. Always nice to hear the thoughts of people of all ranks.

Thank you Fighting Enjin! I used to be Bushin but after watching your videos I'm now in Garyu! Keep it up!!
  • @4tizzim0s
You misread the percentile for Garyu. The numbers shown in that chart are INVERSE percentiles so if 60% of players are garyu or above that means they're only better than about 40% of all players. You can double-check this by adding up the all percents from the first graph up to garyu and it comes out to 36.55%. That means a player isn't above average until they reach tenryu.

Well researched, very well made video!! I've personally been thinking of the rank system as like a belt system in the martial arts, and my auto promote ranks for the other characters is my "true" belt. keeps me humble lol

You got my like when I heard the Innocent World song from DBZ BT3 - Keep up the good work

Pretty cool analysis, I'm currently in Battle Ruler in T8 trying for Fujin. In Tekken 7, I started playing seriously instead of casually, got up to mid redsl ranks.
  • @Duncachi
Hey bro, great video! Really well edited and put together! Keep up the great work 👍
  • @godinez917
Honestly, great video, input and love your interaction in the video!! Underrated take! Subscribed and looking forward to more stuff!! And no shame in Tenryu! I just finally reached purple and almost close to Blue with Shaheen and my only character I’ve played!! 😂😅 Opponents wise, I’ve ran into so many Asukas, Alisas, and Reinas!
