Yeah, never done this. Partly because I like the mystery, but also because I’m too dumb to know what people are getting me and too clumsy to be sneaky. Perfect example: this year, my sister and her boyfriend came down from North Carolina. Now, her boyfriend is just a taller version of me so he already knew I’d be into retro games and stuff. But when he was asking me what used game stores were in our area, I didn’t connect the dots, so I was actually super surprised when I opened up both the English and Japanese copies of FFVIII we were looking at in one of the stores. He just got both because he thought it would be funny to have both, and even if I can’t play the Japanese one I could at least display it.

I can say with the upmost confidence I have never peeked, nor wanted to peek, at my Christmas presents. I understand how fun it can be to see someones genuine reaction to something, and I don’t want to ruin that for my mom. Plus I love the suspense of Christmas.

3 WEEKS BEFORE?? Id consider that torture to just let them sit there and make me wait Edit: I go to England and the way my family does it is everyone brings all the gifts to the house I’m staying at the morning of Christmas and we just open presents, we don’t let them sit under the tree begging to be opened

Anyone else used to shake present boxes looking for lego as a kid?

I never peaked into the gifts, not knowing what you will get is one of the best parts.

I have to wait until my whole family gets up then we open presents plus I just think it’s better to wait-

i actually COULD NEVER do this. my parents always hide/hid me and my brothers presents. I actually never knew where they were hidden. I DO know some presents are hidden at my grandparents house.

Opening presents before Christmas Day is the most heinous thing anyone can do.

My parents checked the gifts daily. I learned to shake the gifts and guess. This Christmas according to what my parents had told me, do not shake this box. I guessed a switch. It was a switch. Two more and they were clothes. If i was to open a present or so much as tear a little peace off, my parents would have made my ass raw. I love them for that cause it kinda taught me patients.

I never tried to find what my parents got me for Christmas. I just find it that if you wait until Christmas, it is way better to see what you get. and plus Christmas is so close now!
